Ahwatukee Country Club
About
The sun shines 350 days a year in Phoenix and you can enjoy this factor at Ahwatukee Country Club. "Ahwatukee" is Crow Indian for "house of dreams", but this could easily be the "golf course of dreams".
The semi-private Ahwatukee Country Club offers an 18-hole golf course designed by John Bulla in 1974 that is open year-round and includes a driving range, as well as a cart included in the greens fee. The golf course is par-72 and measures 6,713 yards from the championship tees.
The Ahwatukee Country Club golf course features a fairly wide-open layout, but has out-of-bounds areas on either side of the fairways - including some with houses, so watch out for those windows - as well as water hazards on some holes. The putting greens play fast.
After a tight front nine on the Ahwatukee Country Club golf course, things open up on a razor-sharp par-4 dogleg 10th hole, with no chance to cut corners: there's a towering forest to the left.

Played here a few times last year as the cheap value course. They seem to have recently put some money into the club house facilities which was a plus but the condition of the actual course seems to be getting
worse. Was disappointed for under $100 there are many other nearby courses I would rather play. It will be a while before I give AGC another go.
I’d rather golf in the Midwest in snow
The course was in the worse shape I have ever seen out of the hundred courses I’ve played. No course maintenance. Everything is in awful conditions from the tee boxes all the way to the greens. Greens are dried up and bumpy. The only thing green about them is the paint they used to make it look decent. Balls and clubs are painted green at the end of each hole. And for $80 it’s a joke. Not sure I would pay $20 to golf there again
Bare bones care
This course is in rough shape. The greens are horrible, with green paint being the putting surface. Course needs a lot of attention
Course is Average
Ahwatukee Golf Course is average in conditions and overall value. Pace of play was poor taking 5 hours to complete. The staff was excellent making the day more enjoyable.
Almost cold water
Ahwatukee has changed there pro shop to a different end of the building but everything else is the same!
I'm not impressed with the Tee Boxes, terrible condition, flat surface hard to find Fairways are kind of good with a lot of not so good.
They have gotten rid of a lot of old dead trees! Driving range: Mats....really!! Forget the mats and use the grass; or better yet, issue a mat so you have a nice place to put the ball in the fairway!!
Value for the price....not even close!! From now on I'll wait until Summer when the rates will match the conditions of the course....low.
The new putting green, or refurbished putting green it quite nice!! Good job!
I'm hoping the "new" owners/company will work on the course as it is not a bad course generally! All the employees were great, by the way!!!!!
