Ahwatukee Country Club
About
The sun shines 350 days a year in Phoenix and you can enjoy this factor at Ahwatukee Country Club. "Ahwatukee" is Crow Indian for "house of dreams", but this could easily be the "golf course of dreams".
The semi-private Ahwatukee Country Club offers an 18-hole golf course designed by John Bulla in 1974 that is open year-round and includes a driving range, as well as a cart included in the greens fee. The golf course is par-72 and measures 6,713 yards from the championship tees.
The Ahwatukee Country Club golf course features a fairly wide-open layout, but has out-of-bounds areas on either side of the fairways - including some with houses, so watch out for those windows - as well as water hazards on some holes. The putting greens play fast.
After a tight front nine on the Ahwatukee Country Club golf course, things open up on a razor-sharp par-4 dogleg 10th hole, with no chance to cut corners: there's a towering forest to the left.

Great time!
This was our first time playing here and we were pleased. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The course is clearly being improved and they seem dedicated to upgrading conditions of fairways, cart paths, greens, and tee boxes. Things are looking up for the Tuke!
5 hour round
Too many golfers ignore pace of play and the tee times too close together. Greens in poor shape.
First 9 not good but back 9 somewhat better (layout was better)
A lot of overalll work is needed on the whole course , smoother greens, better shape fairways and lots more sand in the traps.
Money and work in many areas could make it a good course. Time will tell.
Cheap but you get what you pay for
My group plays ACC a lot in the winter because the cost is less than other courses. The course conditions are fair as best a lot of bad areas on the greens and the bunkers are just hard dirt. The pace of play is ok but the let out a lot of twosomes and singles who run up on the groups in front but whey are backed up by slow groups ahead of them. They have a lot of old guys playing with friends that think they own the course and won’t speed up because there is rarely a ranger
Slow pace
It seems they may have overbooked the day. Every hole there were 3 to 4 groups at the tee box waiting to tee off. It never opened up on any of the holes.
The greens were quite bumpy, you could see your ball bounce towards the hole. Plus the bunkers hardly have any sand in them.
I know it’s under new ownership so hopefully they take this and work on correcting the issues.
Played this course In January and never had an issue.
Don’t know if you have a ranger, but you could have used one. I know the group in front of us called the pro shop but never saw anyone come out.
Great round
Had fun. Played slowed from the 7th hole to the end. Was able to recover my head cover lost three weeks ago.
Great staff. We love Fisher
Good round, fairways in good shape. Greens in ok shape, not much grass on them
Almost impossible to hit a proper shot out of the sand traps. There was little sand in traps and very hard surface under sand. A lot of the rakes by traps were broken due to the nature of the traps
